Zingiber mioga 'Dancing Crane' is a variegated form of this culinary ginger from Japan with leaves that are centrally feathered with white. This is probably the hardiest of the true gingers. The species is grown as a food plant in Japan for its edible young shoots and flower buds. Hardy to zone 7b.
