Description:
Lycoris sanguinea var. kiusiana is a rare amaryllis relative with strap like foliage that emerges in early spring only to go dormant in summer. In late summer, seemingly out of nowhere, spidery, reddish-orange flowers emerge. Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Lycoris resent disturbance and can take a little time to start blooming again after planting.
