Description:
Dryopteris x celsa, or log fern, is a naturally occuring hybrid of D. goldiana and D. ludoviciana which is commonly found growing on rotting logs. Its vertical 3 to 4 foot evergreen to semi-evergreen fronds are a lustrous green against its dark central stipe (stem).
