Description:
Banana yucca is widespread across the southwest deserts of the US and into northern Mexico. The common name refers to the shape of the 4-6 inch long edible fruit. It has thick, bluish, slightly arching leaves, that are less numerous than other yucca species. Short candelabras of creamy white flowers form in summer.
