Red baneberry is a choice woodland perennial with fluffy white flowers followed by clusters of shiny, scarlet berries.
Description:
Red baneberry is a clump-forming perennial with bright green, divided leaves and spikes of small, fluffy white flowers. These are followed by long-lasting, glossy, scarlet berries. The berries are poisonous though incredibly bitter so ingestion by humans or animals is very unlikely. Actaea rubra is a forest plant from growing across much of North America that makes an easy, long-lived perennial for the shade garden.
