Perennial Hibiscus have the largest flowers in the mallow family. 'Cherry Cheesecake' is for those with a sweet tooth for big, bold, beautiful flowers (and cheesecake).
Description:
This is a compact, well-branched and heavily budded selection that forms an attractive, shrub-like clump of thick, leathery, maple-like, dark green leaves. The buds are creamy pink and magenta and the flowers are white with magenta tipped petals and magenta veining radiating out from the cherry red centre. It makes an amazing display in the summer garden. Provide full sun and good moisture during the growing season. Late to emerge in spring so mark its location in the garden.
