Saponaria x lempergii 'Max Frei' is a hybrid soapwort popular as a front of border perennial for English cottage-style gardens. It is a relative of Dianthus with tubular flowers that flare outwards into five petals in varying shades from light to mid pink blooming over a long period from early summer to mid fall. Will attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Use as an accent plant or a ground cover.
