'Pink V' is a hardy ginger that will produce large peachy-apricot flowers in late summer and fall with a light fragrance. Before that the subtropical foliage adds a certain exotica to the garden. Hedychium are related to the culinary ginger Zingiber officinale. Though the rhizomes look similar it's best to just eat the culinary species. Makes a good container specimen in colder climates.
