‘King Kong’ is an extra large form of ‘Britt-Marie Crawford’ with leaves twice the size growing to 16 inches across on plants 3-4 feet tall and wide. The foliage emerges shining black-purple in spring mellowing to burgundy-purple by summer when the orange-yellow daisy flowers are produced in clusters above the foliage. Use Ligularia as an easy, bold focal point in the shady border or by a pond. Tolerant of moist to wet soils.
