Punica 'Salavatski' is the hardiest pomegranate cultivar. It blooms with trumpet-shaped, orange-red flowers and produces orange-sized, globose, yellow to orange-red fruits.


Description:
Punica granatum 'Salavatski' is among the hardiest of pomegranate cultivars. This is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub that grows up to 10 feet but is easy to keep smaller by pruning. It blooms with trumpet-shaped, orange-red flowers and produces orange-sized, globose, yellow to orange-red fruits. Pomegranates require lots of sun and heat to bloom and fruit. They are self fertile and leaf out in late spring.
