'Iyobeni' is a rare cultivar that produces bright orange-red flowers, a quite rare from a primrose, from a thick rosette of wrinkled, round leaves. This species spreads by rhizomes producing a beautiful dense mat. Primula kisoana var. shikokiana is a primrose that is hardier than many of its relatives.
