A compact cultivar of Agastache cana, Sonoran Sunset forms short, full, stocky plants to 16 inches tall and wide boasting masses of raspberry purple flowers over a long period from mid June through September. Not only does the foliage smell of mint but the flowers smell like chewing gum. Also called mosquito plant in its native range where rubbing the leaves on the skin reportedly repels mosquitoes. Grow this hummingbird mint in hot, dry sunny spots with thin, rocky soils. Perfect for rock gardens, along driveways and sidewalks, and in other marginal spots where you never get around to spreading compost. Cultivar name: 'Sinning'.
