Description:
Polygonatum humile is a cute little Solomon's seal with upright, rather than arching, stems usually just to six inches tall. The have nice veining and a subtle shine. Pure white, pendulous flowers hang from the leaf axils in spring followed by blue-black fruit. Forms attractive colonies in time in the shady border and woodland gardens. 'Variegata' is a rare variegated form with variable gold streaks throughout the leaves.
