Iris sibirica 'Miss Apple' has sweetly fragrant and boldly-coloured flowers in burgundy-red, gold, purple, lavender, and reddish purple.
Description:
Iris sibirica 'Miss Apple' has sweetly fragrant and boldly-coloured flowers in burgundy-red, gold, purple, lavender, and reddish purple. A member of the Peacock Butterfly series selected by breeders Marty Schafer and Jan Sacks for its unusual colour and a long and heavy bloom. Siberian irises have elegant, delicate flowers atop vertical columns of strap-like green foliage that look great all season long. They are tough, long-lived, and disease resistant preferring average to moist soils. Useful for bridging the gap between spring and summer flowering perennials and between tall bearded irises and Japanese irises, making possible a vibrant succession of colour combinations.
