Colocasia 'Maximus Gigante' is a hybrid involving C. gigantea 'Thailand Giant' with huge, blue-green leaves up to four feet long and two feet wide with lighter veins and a black cast. The growth rate is so fast that a four inch pot given lots of water and fertilizer can produce full size leaves by the end of the first season! If you need drama and you need it fast, this is the elephant ear for you.
