Description:
Olea europaea 'Coratina' is an Italian olive from Puglia considered a rustic varietal with moderate vigor and a dense canopy which grows well across a variety of conditions. Plants begin producing even when young and maintain high, constant levels of fruit that can be green, yellow, red, and burgundy all at once. Fruit is late-ripening and can be picked green for brining and eating or left to develop black tips to harvest for bold, fruity and floral oil with a high level of polyphenols making it stable and good for blending. Cold and drought tolerant. Self infertile. Good pollinators include 'Frantoio', 'Leccino', and 'Moraiolo'.
