Lilium superbum is an eastern North American lily with turks cap flowers in shades of yellow, orange, and red with dark spots.


Description:
Lilium superbum is an eastern North American lily known as turk's cap, swamp or American tiger lily that can grow to 3-7 feet tall with small to elaborate candelabras of 3-7 downward-facing blooms but sometimes with up to 40 flowers per stem on exceptionally happy plants. The flower colour is variable and can have shades of yellow, orange, and red all with dark spots. Grow in rich, evenly moist to wet soils from sun to part shade. Bulbs are stoloniferous forming impressive colonies in time. Easy to grow but good conditions are required for optimum growth.
