Description:
Sambucus nigra Black Tower 'Eiffel 1' (aka Licorice Stix) is an amazing columnar addition to the elderberries with strongly upright stems 6-8 feet tall and only 3-4 feet wide covered in lush, serrated, purple-black foliage similar to 'Black Beauty'. Flat-topped clusters of pink and white, self-fertile flowers in early summer followed by purple-black, edible berries. More fruit is produced if a different cultivar is also present. Tolerant of moist sites.
