Japanese skimmia is an easy-to-grow, evergreen, mounding shrub for shadier situations. It is famous for its winter and early spring bloom that form in white, pink or red buds in the fall opening to white, intensely fragrant flowers in mid to late winter and early spring. Skimmia japonica 'Magic Marlot' is a slow-growing, dwarf, male cultivar with blue-green and cream variegated leaves perfect for containers and small spaces. Pink and white buds open to fragrant, white flowers.
