Crocus biflorus ssp. weldenii 'Fairy' is an ethereal cultivar with ivory white inner petals and pewter purple outer ones. Species, or snow crocus, are some of the first bulbs to emerge in the late winter, two weeks or more before other forms. They can be naturalized and will grow anywhere grass does, but don't mow them until the foliage dies back.
