'Lady Cerise' has flowering stalks that rise from the strap-like foliage in the fall with buds opening into glowing pink to red, spidery amaryllis-like flowers. Nerine bowdenii and its varieties are frost hardy but should be grown in excellent drainage in a raised bed and mulched heavily with fallen leaves in winter. Or they make easy and spectacular pot specimens that you can protect in winter.
